Asscher cut with its elegant and geometric lines embodies the beauty of Art Deco period during which it was designed. Created with a step cut method and dramatically cropped corners Asscher's facets reflect light back and forth like mirrors. This diamond shape is identical to the emerald cut, but square rather than rectangular, thus also called a 'square emerald'.
